dog dens

Heh, I have an L-shaped desk in my home office, and a little space heater to keep me warm when I'm working in the winter. Ajay has a little dog bed that I usually put on a chair; he hops up and lies down to snooze so he can be close to me while I work.

I had the idea to move the dog bed to the hollow formed by the L of the desk, next to where my legs go. I thought he might like having something a little more den-like (dogs don't like sleeping where they think they can get snuck up on) and also to be closer to the space heater since he seems to like it a little warm.

He went right in there and lay down and went to sleep and I haven't heard a sound out of him since. I even forgot he was down there until I moved my foot and brushed up against him. So score one for good canine psychology and pampered pets.

I have a blanket under my desk where my feet rest. Sometimes I use it to wrap my toes when they get cold but usally it is where teddybeardog rests when I am using the computer

Yeah, dogs don't want for much, but being near their owner, being warm, and being someplace they feel safe are big on the list, I'm sure.

Your dog is cute!
