Two nights ago I was up until 5am working on URHnet and other pressing things. Then I had to be up at 7:30 for a 9am meeting.
Last night I was exhausted so tried to go to bed at midnight, but couldn't sleep, so I read until I was tired, which turned out to be 1:30am. I have no meetings today so I had my alarm set for 8:30, but I was awake at 4:30 for a bit and then again at 6:30. By then Kathy was up and I had been meaning to ask her a question, so I got up and chatted with her for a bit while she got ready for teaching. I also tried to pay back the really cool support she was being for me last night: she was really nervous about teaching such a big class and I tried to be encouraging and supportive to her in return.
But by then I was awake so I got up and started working myself. But now it's 9:30 and I can hardly keep my eyes open again. I'm tempted to sleep another hour but I'm not sure that'd be such a good idea.
It should be easier to simply go to bed at night and get up in the morning, no?
