on evenings at home

I was thinking about going to BTCU, but I was feeling distinctly home-body-ish tonight. That's the nice thing about not having to live alone. I made dinner and ate it while talking to Kathy, who despite the pile of grading she had to do, was being quite the, well, chatty Kathy.

Then she decided she needed to make martinis, so we each had a cinnamon martini. Between the heat of the cinnamon and the alcohol, it really burned the tongue, esophagus, and stomach. Yow. On the first sip my eyes watered and I swear I saw children's blocks floating in front of my eyes with the letters O M F G on them.

But that and a little casual fun busy work (rearranging a couple of virtual LANs), and my evening is done. I'm even going to get to bed a little earlier than I thought I would.

For some reason, I'm pretty at peace and centered tonight.
