More on the Crash

Well, apparently no one was killed or mention would surely have been made of it in the press. So far all I have seen is this blurb in the "Police Blotter" section of the newspaper.

A 17-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man were arrested on several charges after driving recklessly and causing a wreck at the corner of Florida Avenue and Race Street late Saturday evening.

According to a police report, the two offenders were racing, resulting in an accident involving personal injury. The 22-year-old man fled the scene and later presented police with false information. The 17-year-old boy appeared impaired at the time of the accident and did not have a valid driver's license.

What a couple of idiots. It's a little ambiguous, but this seems like it might be implying that they found the second vehicle (the white minivan) and its driver.

the street is race street?

Can't think why that would attract the boy racers.

You know, that's really funny. I hadn't even made that connection, and I've lived here for 11 years. But they were racing down Florida; Race was the stop sign they ran which caused the wreck.

Small World
I was having dinner with a former co-worker (from Nexvu) and it turns out that the victim car was his sisters in law and their family. They're all fine.
