So I'm in San Francisco this week. I'll be speaking at a Unix conference.
I took BART from the airport to downtown, and then walked with my bags from the Powell Street Station to the hotel, just a few blocks. At some point I looked up and saw a huge store sign reading FCUK*.
After thinking I was misreading it, and being sort of amazed that there'd be that kind of sign in downtown San Francisco, I realized that the store was "French Connection UK". There's an equally bold website at www.french-connection.com.
I wonder what the tourists wandering all around this town think of that.
I don't actually speak until Tuesday morning, so it's basically slum around and be tourist myself for the next couple of days.
