weather omens

Uh oh. Twice now in the past hour or so, a loud, yellow-flashing snow truck has driven by my house, laying down salt on the road. Hm. It's cloudy, but nothing is falling from the sky. I only assume they must know something I don't about the quantity of precipitation that may be on the way tonight. Dammit, I don't want to shovel my driveway AGAIN.

At least Kathy's back, hopefully she'll help shovel if it's necessary. I didn't get to see her much; she was just on her way to bed as I got home from beers. But we caught up some in our chattery way, and I'll have dinner with her tomorrow.

Time to get used to sharing the house again. I really don't mind, but it's interesting how rapidly I fall back into the habits of peeing with the door open and wandering downstairs naked to let the dog out and make a pot of coffee. Not that there's been much nudity on my part during the current cold snap.

I'm drunk and smoky and can't sleep.

I knew it was going to snow, but was still pissy when I saw all this white shit outside this morning.

Ajay always stands at the door looking at me in a creepy kind of way when I pee with the door open at your house.

Becca's bathroom habits
But she does! :) Maybe it seems strange to him that you don't rub his back when you pee. because that's what I do when I'm home (i.e., while I'm sitting there, Ajay comes in and gets a little backrub).

Re: Becca's bathroom habits
Hey! You weren't supposed to tell people!

Anyway, I'd be happy to rub his back, but he just stands at the door staring at me, so his back is too far away to rub.

The weather report for San Diego yesterday was talking about a system that passed over us that is going to move on to cause a major winter storm in the Midwest. Unfortunately, it sounds like the salt truck guys are for real. Enjoy! :P

Enh, it turned out to be only 2 inches, which only took me half an hour to shovel.
