what's with this crap?

I used to love flying over Chicago. It was so beautiful, especially at night. Now thanks to Mayor "Boss" Daley, that's apparently at an end. He's so ridiculously paranoid and ill-informed, it's pathetic. I love how it mentions rescue/recovery and emergency evacuation aircraft, which he so unwittingly hamstrung by destroying Meigs Field.

It's a really hard to visualize area, too... I suppose I'll have to draw it on my maps.

!FDC 3/2290 ZAU IL.. FLIGHT RESTRICTION CHICAGO, IL. From the March 23rd Tribune:

Chicago's north side no-fly zone

Well, I meant it's hard to visualize from the air, but that helps; thanks. I think that map is slightly incorrect; though. The TFR states "...EXCLUDING OLIVE PARK AND NAVY PIER..." but those areas are shaded on the Tribune map. Leave it to Chicago to get their own no-fly zone wrong.

Re:
I assumed this was the dumb-public-friendly way of translating "VFR flights".
